Computer Imaging Your New Nose

Dr. Shahidi uses a sophisticated computer imaging program after your consultation to show you an estimate of the post operative appearance. This is used as a communication tool to convey the thoughts and desires of the patient.

• Dr. Shahidi will advise you as to whether those changes are realistic and achievable.
• After the consultation a digital photograph of your face is transferred to a computer screen, and then altered using sophisticated medical software.
• No computer can take into account the patient’s skin elasticity, bone structure, blood supply and healing ability and therefore it is important to realise that a computer image may not match reality and represents no guarantee of the outcome.
• The computer generated pictures enhance the communication between the patient and doctor.
